Hi All.
I have sent invitations to several of the clergy to join me in posting on this site. I will try to include all clergy in that invitation as I have time to make the entries to get it done. Meantime if you especially have something you want to post let me know so I can prioritize your invitation. It's a somewhat awkward way of doing things but there it is.
Thanks to Sarah and the folks at St. Peter's, LaGrande for a great day and a really well handled Consecration Sunday. Check with Sarah if you are interested in how they went about it. The catered meal was great too.

response to Ivor's post
The response to Ivor's post should have credited Dan Gardner as the author. Thanks Dan!
Thanks to all for keeping Marcia's brother Jim in your prayers. Marcia was able to spend a lot of time with him Tuesday and Wednesday. His situation is difficult but there is improvement. He was fitted for a back brace that allows him to sit up (a huge relief from laying on his back constantly) for a few minutes at a time. His wife, Kim, is touring the rehab facility in Seattle today. He continues to have the support and prayers of a multitude of people. Jim, Kim and their daughters deeply appreciate it.

As requested!
As you requested we have a blog site for exchange of news and information and just plain stuff. It seems to be relatively user friendly to get to and navigate. I hope you will find it useful.

I noticed a common theme running through those blue 'streams' placed in the desert at the Convention Eucharist. THe theme ran along the lines of: "I sense a renewed call to ministry / involvement in my parish and diocese .... I feel more involved in my church .... I sense a new hope for EO ..."
Question: How can we build on this optimism and enthusiasm and not lose the good spirit of Convention? It is often the case that we leave Convention on a high and then the mundane routine sets in and we no longer perceive the joy and creative challenge of our calling as the people of God in this place. Let's not wait until we have a Provisional Bishop - let's get on with the new thing we have perceived. Any thoughts?
